My Children!

This is where I am showing off these critters I gave birth to. They just got here!
SEEKING: Potential foster parents.
I do wish I could take care of them all, but they hunger to see other corners of the world...
I am planning to have an adoption fair in my yard sometime in the next few months... WATCH THIS SPACE

I took a bunch of 'em to picture day! try as I might, I couldn't hold them with my arms alone.
(I think this pic shows their size well)

The following is in order of:
Newest at the top, eldest at the bottom.
new ones being born all the time !

This one is a thinga' beauty. Very fun pink flannel shirt that just didnt fit me right anymore became this!
Has a great head on their shoulders--or I don't know if any of these guys have shoulders,
but nonetheless, a strong head, very geometric ears, great posture.
A face expressing perhaps a tinge of mischief. Facing forward, but looking right.

Such a friendly face! The face tats on their left cheek give them a little edge.
Strong stance, good balance. Looking down and to the left.

This is a unique shape, it certainly hasn't been done like this before.
Great posture, standing straight up. Smallest eyes I ever did see, proportionally.
Looking right to see what's out there.

Second ever winker... big, wide eyes, tall, a very friendly shape. Good stance and sense of balance.
Whole bunch of wonder and trust evident on their face. Adopted and safe.

Most rodent-like one there has been so far I think! Big ears for its small frame.
Gets along plenty with cats and critters alike. Looks a little like a nervous nellie, depending on the angle.
Looking down and to the left. Adopted and safe.

This here is Ol' Nine Legs. Most legs yet, thats for sure.
An extra special one, and mind you--I say this as their mother--they are all very special !!

Beautiful blue! They are looking up and to the left (from their perspective)
Long legs, great balance, I love how the red shows up against the blue.

This green one has some of the widest eyes to date. Facing straight up, but looking to the left
so much of their mass is their head, gotta be a large, curious mind in there somewhere.

This purple one has their heart on their nose.
You might think this fairly brave of them, but it wasn't much their choice, they were simply born this way.
Facing upward, but looking down and to the right.

This critter was born with a Honda logo on the back of its head. A real company man...
Made from a dear friend's black hoodie, you can also see that in the drawstring whiskers.
Very unique stance and anatomy.

Big feet and ears for its generally small body. Looking left, leaning left... Living among well taken care of plants.
I hear they are living large on the top of a refrigerator these days. Adopted and safe.

This one is so happy that they almost seem crazed.
Made from a light wash denim. Clearly constantly looking forward to things. Very sturdy!!

This is a critter I am particularly fond of, because of the cloth they were cut from.
I had a beautiful tartan plaid shirt, with these reflective blue threads.
When it no longer fit me, it was added to a pile.
It had these special snap buttons. I used them to make this the first critter with the ability to furrow one or both brows.
When its eyes are wide, there are strips of the plaid clipped to the side of either ear.
They can be removed and re-attached to the forehead when one thinks the critter would be more comfortable emoting in a less giddy way.
The balance on this guy is poor, prone to falling on its back, recommended that it has something to lean on.
Wearing their heart on their face too. You might think this fairly brave of them, but it wasn't much their choice, they were simply born this way.

For christmas I made each sibling of mine a little bipedal guy.
I love my fam! Glad to give them some company, to have and to hold.
In order from youngest sibling to oldest, left to right. <3

When I started giving birth to the wide swath of biodiversity here,
I keep thinking "is this next one going to be like the ones I've made before?"
I try to surprise myself. This one has probably the most variety of fabric for fur. Tallest so far, but that could change.
A lot more flimsy than others that came after them. Very posable in whatever stance you want.
Vaguely ominous if you don't get to know them, but it's full of love and light for you !
Can't wait to meet you. Looking straight left.

I like to call this one Big Stepper.
they have some big steppers! This provides them adequete balance when having only the measely 2 feet.
They have this funny, natural, forward lean.
They are made of this beautiful brown fabric that has these almost rainbow threads when you look close enough. Doesn't show well in these here pictures.

I always thought this one was kind of ominous,
but I believe them to be misunderstood by my earliest judgements after knowing them long enough.
The many angles here show me a sweet critter, no doubt, almost shy. Eyes wide with anticipation.
This one is made of a suede brown fabric, soft.

A little sturdier here on this turquoise one, I am a big fan of the proportions here.
First ever winker...

littleturquoise littleturquoise littleturquoise littleturquoise littleturquoise

This is where it started getting a little sillier...
This one ended up being almost entirely face!
Poor balance too, prone to falling backwards without a good something to lean on. Still a cutie.
I love them despite their glue stains.

3!

These three were the first I ever had. I had been making prints of two legged cats looking this way and that. Here is where they began to jump off the page.
You can certainly construct a cat with three legs,
evolutionarily, you gotta start with 2.
is 3 legs a defect? Nay, an adaptation.
